Sergio Mendoza is a bilingual associate attorney, raised in Texas and originally from San Jose, California. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019, where he served as an elected Senator for the College of Sciences in the Student Government Association and as Vice President of Sigma Pi Fraternity International. Following graduation, Sergio attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where he developed his advocacy skills through rigorous coursework and participation in Trial Advocacy, moot court, and negotiation competitions.

Sergio gained professional legal experience across both the public and private sectors, with hands-on involvement in litigation. He worked at two civil litigation firms, where he handled matters involving first-party insurance disputes and third-party personal injury claims. He also clerked at a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas, assisting with issues related to federal housing, disability, and healthcare laws. Prior to his current role as an associate, Sergio began his tenure at Pappas Grubbs Price as a law clerk, where he spent one year supporting the defense of clients in various tort-related matters, including cases involving catastrophic injury and death.

Sergio’s practice includes construction litigation, premises liability, transportation and trucking, and other insurance defense matters.
