Before attending law school, Ms. Rangel was a Board-Certified paralegal in Civil Trial Law, certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, working for a firm that did primarily employment law and personal injury law on the plaintiffs’ side. She attended law school later in life, entering the first part-time evening class at St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2007. Ms. Rangel wholly embraced the experience and graduated cum laude in December of 2010, and became licensed the following Spring.
While in law school, she worked as a part-time contract paralegal in the Travelers Insurance San Antonio staff counsel office and became an Associate Trial Attorney after passing the Bar, defending Travelers’ insureds in personal injury, dog bite, premises liability, and construction matters. She has continued working in insurance defense as a trial attorney since, both in private firms and as part of staff counsel for companies such as Allstate and Nationwide Insurance.
Ms. Rangel joined the Firm in November 2023, and primarily handles trucking and premises liability matters.

Ms. Rangel’s legal career has focused on insurance defense litigation, handling cases in Justice Court, County Courts at Law, and District Courts including trials at all three levels. She has worked in the local staff counsel offices for Travelers Insurance, Pronto Insurance, Allstate and Nationwide, handling cases ranging from construction defect, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and products liability matters.
Product Liability
Has handled numerous products liability claims on behalf of insureds while working at Travelers.
Current practice is primarily trucking accident litigation, including previous trucking accident work at prior private firm, as well as with Nationwide on behalf of its E&S clients.
