Former Pappas Grubbs Price lawyer, Grant Dorfman, Is Named as a Presiding Judge

We are thrilled to announce that our former Pappas Grubbs Price lawyer, Grant Dorfman, has been designated as the presiding judge for the newly created 11th Business Court – Houston Division.

This prestigious appointment is a testament to Judge Dorfman’s exceptional legal expertise and commitment to upholding the rule of law.

Judge Dorfman brings with him an extraordinary wealth of experience from his robust legal career. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Deputy First Assistant Attorney General since December 2020, where he championed the causes of Texas with steadfast dedication. His legal journey also includes serving as the judge for the 129th and 334th District Courts in Houston, clerking for the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, working as a partner in a commercial litigation law firm, and overseeing worldwide litigation as Senior In-House Counsel for an oil and gas drilling contractor.
