Paul Byron Starr, a shareholder with the firm, was born and raised in San Antonio and graduated cum laude from Baylor University in 1995 with a double major in Marketing and Business Statistics. He received his J.D. from Baylor School of Law in 1997. Paul is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice before all Texas federal courts. He is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and has been published in Texas Lawyer Magazine. Paul has been recognized as a “Rising Star” and a “Texas Super Lawyer.” He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.

Since 2001, Paul has focused upon all facets of civil litigation with emphases as a trial lawyer in construction litigation, personal injury and wrongful death defense, commercial litigation, products liability, and the administrative defense of licensed professionals before state licensing boards and the State Office of Administrative Hearings. Paul is also responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, filing and defending mechanic’s liens, as well as commercial collections.
